Monthly inflation accelerated to 0.8 percent in November from 0.5 percent the previous month as prices on several key food items jumped, official data showed Friday.

Prices have risen 7.6 percent since the beginning of the year, said the Russian statistics agency Rosstat.

Last month, the World Bank estimated 2010 inflation in Russia at 8.0-9.0 percent, with the government expecting around eight percent.

The World Bank said that inflation would likely hold above eight percent in 2011, while Russian officials have said it should fall to 6.3 to 7.0 percent.
