Three young athletes, Gabriel Afonso, Ryan Lima and Rúben Andrade, from Ginásio Clube de Tavira became regional boxing champions last weekend.
The Regional Olympic Boxing Championship where the three boys earned their titles took place at the Escola Básica Dr António João Eusébio, in Moncarapacho, in Olhão.
The club the young men attend, Ginásio Clube de Tavira, is an institution founded on October 19th, 1928, and is one of the main ambassadors for boxing in Portugal.
Currently, the club focusses on several types of sport, with particular emphasis on boxing and football.
