New Citizen Service Center For Lagos

NEW CITIZEN SERVICE CENTER FOR LAGOSAs of today, January 27th, it will be easier to contact the Municipality of Lagos to deal with your matters, with a new personalised telephone answering service.

This new service is as a response to the growth of calls in recent years. In 2021 alone, more than 15,000 telephone calls were made through the Municipality of Lagos Call Center.

The modernised, centralised service system, which directs your call to depending on your specific question, means when you call Lagos City Council, you can choose one of four areas:

  • Water, Urban Planning,
  • Local Accommodation and Activity Licensing; Housing Support and Social Support
  • Breakdown in the Water or Sewerage Network
  • Environment and Urban Cleaning; Citizen Space and Company Space.

The call is then forwarded to the indicated area, speeding up the service.

The municipality says in a press release that this new multi-channel service platform will “allow us to improve our communication and make the municipality closer to the people and their needs”. It will be available whenever you call the City Council’s contact numbers: 282 771 700, 282 771 702, 282 771 706, 282 780 978 or 282 780 900.
