The GNR arrested two women, 61 and 69-years-old, and a 24-year-old man who were stealing clothing from various stores at Mar Shopping, Loulé and were spotted by security staff.
According to the GNR patrol, the group’s car was located and several articles of clothing were discovered that had been lifted from other stores in the Algarve.
The car was seized, along with 249 articles of clothing valued at approximately €4,800. There was €687 in cash as well, a device used to disable and remove alarm tags on garments and three mobile phones.
The suspects already have criminal records for robbery and fraud and were presented to the Judicial Court of Loulé on Friday.
