If you are considering moving to the Netherlands, you are certainly not alone. In 2015 there were between 39,000 and 75,000 expats living here. In order to support internationals in finding their way, Expatica and i am not a tourist have been organising the Expat Fair for Internationals for over 16 years. The annual event provides new-comers with the chance to learn more about living in this beautiful country.

Moving to The Netherlands

Whether you're a city slicker or prefer the quiet life, the Netherlands has a lot to offer. Visit the fair held on Sunday 7 October 2018 in the Beurs van Berlage to get information, expert help and support, and to see what's on offer if you’ve chosen to relocate to one of the exciting Dutch cities or friendly neighbourhoods. 

With 125 exhibitors, 10 themes, and on average 3,000 visitors, you can expect an informative and fun-filled day with plenty of opportunities to mix and mingle with service providers, job agencies and recruiters, and fellow internationals.

Jobs for expats

i am not a tourist will host a special theme on ‘jobs for expats’ in addition to the main topics such as housing, finance, healthcare and education, amongst others. Follow the ‘jobs for expats’ signs at the event to find the employment stands and please note that only stands with the ‘Jobs for Expats’ signage offer multilingual vacancies.

The Expat Fair for Internationals

The exciting programme includes a diverse number of presentations and workshops to ensure you have all you need to get the most out of your new life in the Netherlands.

Discover how to rent or buy a property in the Netherlands, join one of the many social groups and expat clubs, how and where to learn the Dutch language, find childcare for your little ones, as well as get to grips with Dutch taxes, setting up a bank account, and arranging health insurance

The schedule includes opportunities to participate in a salsa workshop, take a fun Dutch quiz, dress up and have your photo taken in traditional Dutch costume, try a yoga class and watch a stand up improvised comedy show. You can also re-write your curriculum vitae, meet expat parents, as well as gain some valuable information regarding more formal issues such as your rights as a tenant and your financial future.

The Expat Fair for Internationals will be held once again at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam on Sunday 7 October 2018, from 10.00 to 17.00.

Originally used as a stock exchange, this beautiful historic venue provides capacity for 125 exhibitors and more than 3,000 internationals to come together at the Expat Fair for Internationals.
