Son of San Fu Maltha Back

AMSTERDAM — The police have found the son of film and television producer San Fu Maltha and his girlfriend, both of whom had been reported missing on Wednesday last week.

The 14-year-old David and his 13-year-old girlfriend were found in an Amsterdam apartment on Monday night, police said.

The children are back with their parents, De Volkskrant writes. It is still unclear why they ran away and whose house in Amsterdam they used as their hiding place.

Film producer San Fu Maltha said he was extremely happy. “The longer it took, the more scenarios went through my head. We were so worried”, he said.

The children are very tired, but report no pain or injuries.

San Fu Maltha does not know what prompted his son to run away. “I have not talked to him about it yet. I’m dying to ask, but that’s not the first thing you ask your child after he had been missing for six days. All you want is hug him and be grateful that he is there again”, the producer said.

San Fu Maltha is the country’s best known producer. His projects have included Zwartboek, Vet hard!, In Oranje and Phileine zegt sorry.
