Man injured in bank robbery

HOOFDDORP – A bank employee was injured in an armed robbery of a Rabobank office in Hoofddorp on Thursday evening. Police have announced this.

The employee suffered a stab wound during the robbery. A police spokesperson reports that he is in stable condition. At first the police thought that two employees had been hurt.

The robbery, involving several robbers, took place at about 6.40 pm, when the bank had already closed.

No sign has been found of the perpetrators. It is still unclear whether they made off with any loot and what exactly happened.
