The number of Dutch households with a tablet has doubled in the past six months. Market researcher Telecompaper says eight percent of all households have at least one tablet.

Apple’s iPad is market leader in the Netherlands, followed by Samsung’s Galaxy tabs.

Telecompaper says the tablet owner is more likely to be a man. The device is in use within the household for an average of eight hours a week.
