Turkish Airlines plane wreckage to be removed

The wreckage will be taken to a hanger in East Schiphol.

THE NETHERLANDS – Work to remove the wreckage of the Turkish Airlines plane which crash-landed into a field near Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport started Monday.

It is hoped the cockpit will be removed on Wednesday. The wreckage will be taken to a hanger in East Schiphol.

The plane which crashed on 25 February killed nine passengers and injured more than 80. Twenty-three people are still in hospital, and one of them remains in critical condition.
