Dutch cosmonaut André Kuipers’ trip to the International Space Station has been postponed by a few weeks.

The launch of the Soyuz rocket which is to take him to the ISS has been postponed from late November to mid December, but the exact date is yet to be announced.

A source at the European Space Agency has told news agency ANP that the cause of the delay is a recent series of incidents involving the Russian Soyuz rockets.

Russia has decided to keep the Soyuz launch vehicles on the ground as long as the cause of the accidents is not known.
