One of Britain’s most wanted men has been arrested in Amsterdam. In the United Kingdom, 26-year-old Kirk Bradley from Liverpool faces a life sentence for a series of gangland shootings. Dutch police have been working closely with British investigators for some time to capture British fugitives in the Netherlands. A British court sentenced Bradley in absentia last year. He escaped last July when the prison van he was travelling in to court was brought to a halt by two cars and the drivers threatened with firearms.

Another man 25-year-old Anthony Downes also escaped. The men had been arrested a year before with four other ringleaders of a criminal organisation. Downes is currently fighting extradition.

Downes was arrested in the Dutch town of Goes on 9 March. Both men headed a notorious criminal gang in Merseyside.
