Libyan flag changed by activists at Hague consulate

A number of activists have replaced the Libyan flag outside the country's consulate in The Hague.

Muammer Gaddafi's green flag, which he introduced in 1977, was taken down and replaced by the old red, black and green flag, which has become the symbol of the current revolt against the 40-year-old regime.

The 'flag-change' initiative was taken by the Libyan Human Rights League. The Libyan consulate gave them permission to change the flag, although it declined to comment further on the matter.
