Telecom giant KPN is selling its IT subsidiary Getronics International. Only the company’s Dutch activities will remain in KPN’s hands.

KPN did not release any financial details. Getronics International’s European and Asian activities - with a 450-million euro annual turnover, will be sold to the German stock exchange listed company Aurelius. Its Latin American activities – turnover 115 million euros – will be sold to private investor OpenGate Capital.

The deal is conditional on the permission of the competition authorities and workers’ councils. KPN expects to finalise the two transactions in the second quarter.

KPN took over Getronics in 2007. Last year, KPN changed the name of Getronics Nederland into KPN Corporate Market.
