Holland to face Turkey in Brazil qualifiers

Holland will face Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Estonia and Andorra in Group D when they bid to qualify for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil, following Saturday’s draw in Rio de Janeiro. Turkey is currently being led by Dutch coach Guus Hiddink.

Only the group winner goes through to the tournament. The eight-best second-placed teams will play-off against each other to go through. The qualifiers will kick off in September 2012. The exact match schedule is yet to be decided.

“It may look like a tough group”, national coach Bert van Marwijk said, “but all in all it doesn’t seem an insurmountable draw”.
