Heineken again Champions League sponsor

Dutch brewer Heineken has renewed its Champions League sponsorship to include both television and digital media, including social media such as Facebook and YouTube.

No financial details of the three-year contract with the European football body Uefa have been released.

Heineken’s sponsorship will also include all repeats on Uefa’s website.

The giant brewer has been sponsoring the Champions League, which draws over four billion viewers in 200 countries, for six years.

The new contract includes Germany, which used to be excluded but now is becoming a fast-growing market for the Dutch beer brewer.

Under the deal, Heineken will be the only sponsor with commercial time at the start of each game. cl
