A Dutch terrorist suspect arrested two weeks ago has been released. The court in Rotterdam decided in chambers on Tuesday that there were insufficient grounds to hold the man in custody any longer.

The 34-year-old from Almere was identified in a search for jihadist networks carried out by the AIVD, the Dutch domestic intelligence service. He was alleged to have had plans to join al-Qaeda.
