Dutch judoka wins gold in Judo Grand Prix

Judoka Linda Bolder has won gold on the second day of the Judo Grand Prix in the Chinese city of Quindao.

In the under 70 kilogram class, she beat China's Fei Chen with a yuko, taking advantage of the absence of her compatriot Edith Bosch. On the way to the final, the Dutch judoka beat Germany's Iljana Marzok and the South Korean Lee Na La.

In the under-78 kilo competition, former world champion Marhinde Verkerk won bronze, after she lost in the semi-finals to Yang Xiuli, who later won gold.

In the men's competition, Luuk Verbij in the over 100 kilo class came joint fifth, losing to Brazilian Daniel Hernandes.
