Dutch dressage team wins bronze

The Dutch dressage team has won a bronze medal at the FEI European Dressage Championships in Rotterdam, close behind the British and the Germans in points.

Nevertheless it was a disappointing result for the team after Adelinde Cornelissen’s and Jerich Parzival’s excellent results. But Edward Gal’s uncharacteristically poor performance failed to hit the mark. The Dutch rider made several mistakes putting too much pressure on his fellow teammates. The fourth Dutch competitor Matthias Alexander Rath showed he has a lot to learn, but with a year to go before London Olympics, there is still time to polish up his act.

The British competitors however, took gold showing they were more than ready for London 2012.
