Code Blue, the only Dutch film selected at the this year’s Cannes Film Festival, is to have its world premiere this Sunday evening.

The film, directed by Urszula Antoniak, will be screened as part of the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, a selection of idiosyncratic talents.

Code Blue tells the story of nurse Marian who one night witnesses a horrific rape, with Bien de Moor and Lars Eidinger in the main roles.

Ms Antoniak and both actors are attending tonight’s premiere.     In the past Ms Atnoniak directed the critically acclaimed arthouse film Nothing Personal, which won four Golden Calves at the 2009 Dutch Film Festival and drew nearly 100,000 viewers in Dutch cinemas.

Code Blue will open in Dutch cinemas in early September.
