CPB predicts two-percent economic growth

The Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis CPB expects the Dutch economy will grow by two percent this year and by 1.75 percent in 2012.

Unemployment will continue to drop, to an average of four percent in 2012. The above figures were taken from a new provisional estimate published by the CPB.

The institute says the predicted economic growth will be mainly due to an increase in exports. The CPB predicts only a minor increase in consumer spending. As a result of budget cuts, government spending will make no contribution to economic growth.
