THE HAGUE – Queen Beatrix, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima will attend the annual national remembrance ceremony on Dam Square in Amsterdam on Monday, regardless of the attack on their coach on Thursday in Apeldoorn.

Doubts had been cast on their presence after the incident, but the government information service said the programme will run as planned.

Amsterdam authorities are studying the need for extra security measures on Remembrance Day and Liberation Day on 4 and 5 May respectively.

On Liberation Day there will be an open-air concert on a floating stage and ships on the Amstel river.

To our warm and protective Leaders of our country. Put on all of Gods armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks from the devil. Ephesians 6:11.
Soldiers are trained to keep their equipment in battle ready condition. Weapons are cleaned and oiled, communications, equipment is checked and double checked, and helmets are kept in place in case of sudden attack. If we prepare so diligently to face a human enemy, Paul says, how much more ought we prepare to battle against our spiritual enemy? Satan will attack, he says, and only the believer who is grounded in the truth will recognise his lies. Only a personal acceptance by faith of God's love can protect our hearts from Satan's fiery temptation. Only as sure knowlegde of salvation protects our mind from doubt. And only the Word of the God and the power of Jesus Christ can cause Satan to flee in terror. Are you full prepared for the battle?

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord: I will be joyful in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:18
The psalmist could not understand how the God who made the stars have any interest in a mere human being. This is healthy humility. The psalmist caught a glimpse of God's perspective. We were made just a little lower than the angels. When we recognise that God bestows on usw this kind of honor and glory, we begin to understand our value. The healthiest selfimage is produced from the merging of humility and God given honor. We dishonor God when we dishonor ourselves, we also dishonor God when we forget that our life and position comes form him. Psalm 8:3 8
    Psalm 119: 2
Truth stand the test of time, lies are soon exposed. Provers 12:19
    Isiah 52: 7

To truly understand the power of this verse, you must read the entire chapter. In midst of deprivation and suffering, true happiness is to be found in the Lord. In the midst of great properity and abundance, true happiness is to be found in the Lord. Abiding happiness transcends material circumstances and flows out of our relationship with the Lord of joy himself.

    The closing,
Is happiness a passing emotion or a permanent state? The Bible say it can be both. There is happiness that reacts to happenings (which is tempory and volatile) and there is happiness that overrules happenings (which is strong and lasting) Happiness based on happenings is part of life, but if that is all we can count on we have to keep feeding oursleves with events to keep us upbeat. Those who know the joy that conmes from God dont need happenings to keep them happy. The learn how ro develop inner joy because they know that not matter what happens. God offers hope and promise.

God bless you and you family.
