Dutch speed skater wins gold at allround World Championships

Dutch speed skater Ireen Wüst won her second allround world championship in Calgary on Sunday.

The 24-year-old won the final race, the women's 5K, in 6:55.85. Czech skater Martina Sablikova fell during the final race, but nevertheless realised a time of 7:00.04. However, her mishap meant she was bumped to third place in the overall rankings. Canadian World champion sprint Christine Nesbitt won the silver medal despite coming third in the final 5K race in 7:09.06.
