Dutch police find cannabis plantation

The cannabis plantation consisting of 65,000 plants is found in a greenhouse complex in the village of Made.

MADE -- Police have arrested three people following the discovering of a cannabis plantation in a greenhouse complex in the village of Made in the south of Netherlands.

The three people arrested are the owner and two employees.

Police said the greenhouse consists of 65,000 plants and estimated the harvest to be worth EUR 6 million. Police added the plantation is similar to a cannabis factory.

While it is legal to purchase a limited amount of cannabis in coffee shops in the Netherlands, large-scale cultivation and wholesale distribution is prohibited.
