How will you make an impact?

Based in Europe, ideally Germany, BENELUX or Italy, you would be supporting top-management in the definition and implementation of the Region Division Strategy. You will be proactively developing differentiating strategic ideas and alternative business scenarios for the Region Divison as well as providing feedback and required support to the global division Manager.

As a regional business development specialist you will be leading and contributing to business development projects as well as partnerships and working with the merchandising agreements. You will be defining and implementing business strategies and plans for profitable growth including new market opportunities.

What will you do?

Mergers and Acquisitions

+ Drive and support M&A analysis for inorganic growth, market opportunities and customer needs

+ Lead Region M&A processes from identification of companies through to the start of integration

+ Support businesses in the post-acquisition integration

+ Support the Global division on large scale/division wide M&A opportunities

Regional Partnerships & merchandising agreements

+ Identify partnership opportunities in conjunction with the regional management team

+ Participate in the definition of partnership agreements or joint ventures

Strategy definition

+ Lead and contribute to regional strategy definition and execution through the analysis and identification of markets, customer segments, competitive moves and offerings of respective global business

Business plans

+ Work closely with the global division management team to identify, define and follow-up the strategy and business plans

+ Ensure optimised delivery and use various regional information within business decision making

Business intelligence

+ Develop and maintain the regional database for market research

+ Systematically analyse and monitor market dynamics and update market intelligence for new business opportunities

+ Proactively track the broader financial market, seek current information and advise management about market opinion and trends

Business opportunities

+ In conjunction with the Product Leader, analyzes customer needs for the portfolio, securing customer advantages and benefits, as well as conducting white spot analysis and defining relevant strategies to penetrate the market. Identifies opportunities and drives actions necessary to expand into the newly defined area. Works closely with Product Management & Marketing, Sales, as well as Research and Development (R&D).

Collaboration

+ Collaborates with all related internal contacts to ensure alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness in the implementation of the business strategy. Drives and ensures knowhow sharing and cross-collaboration.

People leadership and development

+ Ensures (with HR Business Partner support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration. + Influence without direct authority. Leads a team of Regional BD managers and market analysts.

Integrity & Compliance

+ Support ensuring a safe working environment, continuous HSE improvement processes, integrity performance and Group standards.

How will you get here?

+ Minimum 8+ years of experience in Strategy, business development, Mergers & Acquisitions

+ International experience in previous roles is desirable

+ Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) is desirable

+ Deal team leadership experience

+ Strong and effective communicator

+ Knowledge of the electrification market is desirable

+ High level of autonomy and business acumen

+ Ability to build network, good stakeholder management towards all levels within the business, functions, global partners

+ Ability to lead change and influence people without having a direct authority

+ Highest integrity and compliance

+ Strategic and result oriented
