Then apply now to join us as our new Global Center of Excellence – Product Intern, in Utrecht (NL) as of September 2021 During this internship you will become part of our Global Center of Excellence – Product based in Utrecht, focusing on Specialized Nutrition . This role will focus on product development, for both infant milk formula & medical nutrition, produced by our European factories. You will investigate the n utritional link between raw materials used and the final product reaching our consumers to ensure nutritional compliance . You will gain an in-depth understanding of the recipe portfolio , design principles of recipe development and the impact of analytical methodology . You will interact with different departments and gain experience in a multicultural company responsible for providing products to consumers globally. Your main responsibilities will be: Assessing the impact of natural and process variation on nutritional parameters across the recipe portfolio to ensure compliance: Examine big data to explore the degree of variation of nutritional values of our recipe portfolio Propose new calculation techniques for our internal standards Support the set-up of a statistical approach to further optimize the recipe portfolio and ensure best compliance for future innovations Translate your findings into an action plan, and give your recommendation to ensure recipe development system remains up to date Interpreting the impact and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders: Build connections with stakeholders both within Product & Technology community and the Data Science Research and Innovation team. Understand the impact of your findings on new product development Present clear and concise findings & recommendation to a cross-functional community You are a Master student in the field of Food Science, Data Analysis, Food technology, Biotechnology, or related field. You have statistical knowledge (knowledge of descriptive statistics, resampling techniques, affinity with SPSS, R (preferred)). You, therefore, have an analytical mindset with strong communication skills and an eye for detail. You like digging into data , have a critical thinking mindset and you are eager to understand how your findings impact the business. Also, you have a can-do attitude, you can work autonomously but are not afraid to proactively reach out to people when necessary. Key criteria to be eligible for the current internship: Enrolled as a Master’s student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university); You are fluent in English —both verbal and written You are available to start as of September 2021 for 4 to 6 months , 5 days per week You are able to work from Utrecht if the COVID-19 situation allows us to go to the office. Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN. We offer a gross monthly internship allowance of 450 (HBO students) or 550 (University students) euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel if required.
