What’s the role?

The roleIn this role, you will have the opportunity to work in the CCO Services & Support department and manage a, part remote, team of circa 15 subject matter experts, combining a people manager role with transactional elements, requiring you to be hands-on and with a deep technical understanding in your field of expertise. The Head of Delivery Operations Solution Engineering is a member of the Leadership Team, and needs to have a track record strategic planning and (help) setting direction. Main responsibilities• Develop deep understanding of Professional Services (PS) – Delivery Operations related practices and objectives,• Take a thought leadership role in evolving and optimizing practices and tools/services to maximize efficiency of Delivery Operations topics across PS• Understands and applies HERE wide DevOps processes, practices and tools in context of PS projects e.g. implementation if CI/CD, perform Security & Legal review of projects etc. • Partners with PS regional and Global Solution Engineering team as well as cross functional teams across HERE (e.g. Engineering Solutions etc.) to evolve and standardize tooling, solutions and environments to simplify and reduce the developer effort required to code, build, test, release deploy, operate and monitor services• Plan activities and allocate people for Delivery Operations team which includes functions like Release management, DevOps, System Engineering (T3 on-call support) and HW Operations• Effectively manages priorities and team capacity according to business needs and strategy• Contribute in RFx response process for PS projects • Takes a customer-centric approach, to provide on-call support and meet services SLA – follow ITIL best practices for incident management, root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. • Implement proactive monitoring of services health, identify and roll out improvements• Monitor and optimize operational costs including AWS costs, HW used for projects • Holds regular Development talk, 1:1 discussions with team members and provide mentorship, guidance for career development• Connects high level strategy to team level activities and keep those aligned• Creates an environment for high performing teams, develops talent and anticipates future skills to meet business needs• Drives continuous improvement, change activities and lean delivery approach, right sources solutions to focus on higher value-add work• Drives cross functional improvement initiatives

Who are you?

12+ years of experience in a software engineering/operations role, ideally with 5+ years in DevOps/Release management/Service Management/Operations Excellent knowledge of DevOps concepts, techniques, and technologies with real-world experience of designing and developing in CI/CD Multiple years of experience of people management Experience in working with geographically distributed team Experience managing cross functional team and influence others to work effectivelyExcellent people leadership and networking skills with ability to develop, coach and mentor teams, foster creativity, collaboration and a continuous learning and growth mindsetVery good communication skills in English both written and spokenHands on experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, GO, Git/Gerrit, Docker, AWS, CloudWatch, Grafana etc.) is a plusBachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalentITIL, PMP or equivalent certification desired HERE is an equal opportunity employer.
