About The Role Conduct more complex elements of financial/management accounting, JSOX compliance, logistics and process duties for activities around the sale of products to EMEA affiliates, Global IP Holder companies and 3rd party distributors Provide commercial oversight to ensure appropriate governance and that transactions flow in accordance with API’s Tax & Transfer Pricing strategy and with EU tax legislation Work collaboratively across a number of functions (including Other IP Holder companies, Finance, Direct & Indirect Tax, Technology Division (supply chain and manufacturing), Commercial Finance, EMEA Business Services, QA/Responsible Person) Operate as an effective Finance Business Partner to internal and external stakeholders, collaborating to make effective decisions, and adding business value where possible Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting both internally and externally Apply initiative and commercial judgement to resolve problems, making timely decisions to support time sensitive commercial goods and services movement Responsibility for ad hoc queries on inventory (i.e. samples, product flow changes, supply chain) Act as the SAP Champion around Logistics & Sales/Inventory Accounting, advising, trouble shooting and escalating as appropriate. Review the Credit Note Provision based on Supply Chain model, ensuring reasonableness of figures with timely follow up of material variances with Supply Chain and Affiliate, escalating issues/risks to management when necessary Manage requests for stock write off credit notes from Affiliates ensuring these are valid and authorised. Also, collaborate with other IP Holders to develop a standardised approach to stock write off, credit notes analysis and reporting Work collaboratively as a member of the Finance team, contributing to overall performance Manage sales reporting and analysis for the management pack Calculate and provide commentary on Product P&L reporting for European and Parent Company Hands on use of Accounting & Reporting tools such as SAP, HFM Demonstrable experience/exposure to a majority of the following areas: Inventory knowledge – accounting/ transactional knowledge/best practice Financial Modelling & Analysis Preparation of Management Reports Preparation of Budgets & Forecasts Variance Analysis and understanding of cost drivers, volume & pricing Month End Close Process NL GAAP, IFRS and group accounting experience Internal Controls & process experience Hands on use of Accounting & Reporting tools such as SAP, HFM Liaison with auditors & professional advisors Must have experience…
