Fair operator arrested for attempted manslaughter

TILBURG – In Tilburg, the operator of a fairground attraction has been arrested for attempted manslaughter.

The man, who apparently wanted to take down his attraction, drove his truck backwards into a street full of visitors. Several people, including two children, managed to avoid being knocked down by the reversing truck.

When angry bystanders pelted the truck with beer, the driver step harder on the accelerator.

The police arrested him and collected footage from security cameras in the street. Two people made official complaints and seven witnesses provided statements.
