Hi there. I am a UK national seeking to relocate to the Amsterdam area. I have developed a career in horticulture, and wish to continue in the Netherlands. I assumed that this would be an option for an English speaker, as the NL is a global leader in the agri/horti industry.

I am struggling to find opportunities advertised online, especially that are open to people not yet fluent in Dutch. Do you know of any companies, agencies (anyone) that might take on English speakers? Kind regards

I have no knowledge of gardening.what I could see about my trees is that they look sick as the leaves are getting white and curling in themselves. cen you advise me how bring them back and make them healthy.

Thank You

Is it true that cut tulips continue growing in the water of their vase, and that placing a penny or coin in their water will prolong their life?

Dear Expert:

I have just arrived into the Netherlands from Mexico and have no experience at all in gardening, but I was wondering when would it be the best time to cut out some of the bushes already planted in the garden that I wouldn't want to keep and when to plant the ones I would like to place instead? I will deeply appreciate any suggestions you could provide
THANKS

Hello,
I live in the Netherlands and my neighbour has been cutting overhanging branches from our tree without asking. She has done a terrible job and killed several branches. She has never asked/complained about the tree which we would have cut back on request had we known. What is the law in these matters?
Thanks, Tom

Hello,

My neighbours' hedge is more than 5 meters height, and is blocking the sun. I used to be able to enjoy a sunny terrace but not anymore. When I kindly asked them if they would agree to finally cut it, they told me I could pay for it! However, I believe it is their responsibility to maintain it. I would like to know if there is a law explaining and solving this situation, that I could present to them.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi I have a full grass roof on my boat that has recently developed a leak. Do you have any recommendations for a Dutch company that could repair it - preferably in or near Amsterdam? The companies I've found do primarily container roof gardens and not full 'lawns' such as mine.

Thanks for any leads you may have!
