Tax Compliance Manager – Asset Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Compliance Manager to join our client, an esteemed Global Asset Manager. This is a new role that will require a Tax Compliance subject matter expert around all tax related matters to support the EMEA and APAC product (focus including UCITS investments, SICAVs, OEICs). You will work with a broad range of stakeholders including tax agents and advisors. The successful candidate will also help build out and implement a robust Tax Oversight framework and process. The successful candidate will be expected to: Manage all tax compliance matters that relate to EMEA and APAC product (focus including UCITS investments, SICAVs, OEICs). This might include but not be limited to review of (1) tax returns and filings, tax registrations and related documentation and (2) process to ensure no gaps or deficiencies with all bookings being correctly reflected in systems Be involved in tax strategy, helping to build out and implement a robust tax oversight framework and process Provide support to Senior Tax Management Team and lead tax related projects/ad hoc requests when required, this might be related to new regulation requirement. Act as an escalation point for all tax compliance issues Build strong relationships with all internal and external partners including tax advisers and agents   Requirements: University degree in Tax/Accounting/Finance, ideally with ACCA or other professional accounting accreditation International Tax Experience for EMEA/APAC, ideally with exposure across traditional investment structures (including UCITS, SICAVs, OEICS…) Management experience – able to coach and develop team members Fluent in English both written and verbal, with another European language advantageous High degree of professionalism, must be a team player and highly collaborative.
