Task Responsibilities: Join a small but dynamic team that covers a wide range of activities related to government and industry affairs, be it looking into freedoms of air, to following regulatory developments and working on international relations matters. Every day brings new challenges, as well as opportunities to learn something new – you will have a chance to work on a range of different topics and with colleagues across the globe. Assist in the activities of the Government & Industry Affairs department, which acts as interface between Cargolux and government entities in Luxembourg, at EU level in Brussels as well as towards civil aviation authorities worldwide. Research and analyze national and EU-level policies in different fields, including international relations, the air cargo market, environmental sustainability, decarbonization of the aviation sector, amongst others. Support in the organization and digitalization of the department. Keep relevant databases up-to-date for internal and external audience. Assist in maintaining Cargolux Group’s traffic rights data base and identify future company needs from information submitted by other departments. Maintain, update, scan and archive department files (physical and electronical). Essential Requirements For The Position: University degree in politics, law, international relations, airline business, communications or climate science is a definite advantage Strong interest in aviation and in EU policies, sustainable development, international aviation and international affairs. Preferably, a good understanding of EU institutions and of national and EU-level legislative processes. Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English are a must. French, German and Luxembourgish would be a definite advantage. Good organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop constructive relationships with external persons at all levels. Good skills in analyzing, processing, and understanding information. Be proactive and a problem solver, have an appetite for continuous learning, results oriented and strong team player.
