Role/ Department: This role will be a key member of the EMEA Corporate Risk team based in London or Luxembourg reporting to the EMEA Head of Financial Risk. The successful candidate will be experienced in both financial risk management and prudential regulation with responsibility for the EMEA prudential risk portfolio. This role requires participation in relevant corporate, regional and local committees to support good governance and effective challenge; and ensuring that relevant legal entity prudential assessments are sufficiently robust. The successful candidate will be expected to keep up to date with regulatory developments and policy changes issued by both European and UK regulatory authorities. The key responsibilities of the role include: • Leading and co-ordinating risk input into EMEA Legal Entity ICAAPs and ICARAs. Scope of activities include:  Production of ICAAP & ICARA risk assessments and ensuring underlying methodologies are fit for purpose.  Execution of Pillar 2 capital assessments (credit risk and operational risk).  Execution of Scenario planning (Event Driven Scenario and Reverse Stress Testing).  Presentation of ICAAP and ICARA results alongside the EMEA Finance team, to relevant Legal Entity Risk Committees and Boards. • Providing Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) oversight/input on regional capital plans. • Facilitate the quarterly capital modelling of operational risk scenarios for key EMEA entities and ascertain knowledge of the regional operational risk capital model. • Participation in relevant governance committees as the prudential risk SME for the region. • Providing risk input into EMEA Legal Entity Recovery plans. • Monitoring, assessing the impact and responding to prudential regulatory change for EMEA Legal Entities. • Where required, providing support to the EMEA Financial Risk Team on credit, liquidity and market risk management activities. Qualifications: • Degree educated and/or a relevant professional qualification Skills/ Experience: The successful candidate will benefit from having: • Direct experience in the Financial Services industry and a broad understanding of financial markets • Strong knowledge of financial and prudential risk management • Detailed regulatory technical knowledge • Experience in the application of various prudential regimes and regulatory requirements • Interpretation and implementation of prudential rules with regards to ICARA ICAAP • Experience with stress testing across capital risk management • Familiarity with Recovery and Resolution Planning • Understanding of model risk management and model governance • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to stakeholders at varying levels of seniority • Strong presentation skills • Proven strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to constantly multi-task • Strong attention to detail Working with Us: As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
