Reporting directly to the Head of Shipping Operations, you will become part of a growing Operations Team with a young spirit, which is committed in extracting patterns and insights from data by the application of domain expertise, tools and technology. In close contact to business specialists, you will participate and lead various projects to improve business decisions and drive digital transformation and have close Your role As a Data Analyst you will be in charge of the following tasks: Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and dashboards for better decision making; Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality; Work with management to prioritize business and information needs; Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems; Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems; Locate and define new process improvement opportunities / performance indicators; Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata; Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports. Your profile B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. degree in computer science, information management, statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering or any related field with a proven working experience as a data analyst; Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques; Strong knowledge and experience with reporting packages and tools (Azure/Power BI), databases (SQL etc) and preferably also programming (Python and/or other); Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets; Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy; Analyze business processes and reporting methods and seek for improvements which support the relevant business stakeholders; Ability to translate your results and analytics to business stakeholders; Fluent proficiency in both written and oral English.
