My wife and I moved to Luxembourg a month ago, We've registered at commune due to my wife be a European citizen and to get the social number.
Since we arrived here, I've received a lot of job offers to work in I.T area, however, the companies said me that I need a sponsor to get a "work visa" to work here.

Is it true? how to proceed? Because I was thinking that i had the same rights to work here like my wife has.

Ps.:
- I'm legally married for 11 years.
- I have 10 years of work experience, technical qualifications, and diplomas in the area of I.T.
- I'm Brazilian and my wife is Portuguese.

Best regards
Andre

Hi Darren,
I am an Indian citizen coming to Luxembourg soon on a blue card. I am also bringing my spouse along with me. I wanted to know if my wife would automatically get a work permit? If not, how hard is it to find a job for her and what are the conditions for her to get a work permit? Can she register herself at ADEM?

Hello,

I would like to ask about Luxembourg nationality laws. I know to be able to apply for the Luxembourger nationality must be living for seven consecutive years. I have been living in Luxembourg for 6 years just in 2013 i had to change my house and i did not register my new address in the municipality for almost 15 days! does that breaks the seven years law? or to be able to break the seven consecutive years needs minimum of six months?

Thank you

Hello Darren,
I'm moving From England to Metz where I will be living with my French partner who works for a German bank in Lux city, I've seen for my self that there are many construction projects across the city. I'll be looking for work in construction trades and have excellent trade qualifications for my Trade in Painting and Decorating.
Could you possibly inform and forward to me recruitment agencies where I could apply for relevant Building Trades employment vacancies.
Kind Regards
