PARIS - Two more cases of swine flu were confirmed in France on Friday bringing the total number of people infected in the country to 12, health authorities said.

Ten of the cases involved people who recently returned from Mexico, where the disease has killed 45 people, while two had just flown home from New York, said the National Institute for Public Health Monitoring.

None of the cases were life-threatening, it added.

World health officials have tallied more than 2,380 people infected around the globe so far, with almost half of all cases in Mexico, and countries have imposed a range of measures to prevent a wider outbreak.
