This recruitment offers a $10,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine #UWMRecruitmentIncentive UW Medical Center – Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a full time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSE to join our 8SE Medical Oncology Clinics. In partnership with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, our 8SE Medical Oncology Clinics offer comprehensive assessment and treatment of cancers and pre-invasive conditions. We specialize in women’s reproductive cancers (uterine, cervical, vaginal, endometrial, and ovarian) and gestational trophoblastic disease. This is a great chance to join a team that offers specialized, innovative oncology treatment.SCHEDULE:5×8 schedule, Monday – Friday. Our clinic is closed on nights, weekends, and holidays.BENEFITS PLANFor detailed information on the benefits for this position, click here .RESPONSIBILITIES:The Registered Nurse will:

  • Access ports and draw labs
  • Promote patient comfort and work to alleviate therapeutic side effects
  • Handle phone triage
  • Answer patient calls and eCare messages
  • Manage prescriptions and referrals
  • Provide nursing advice in person, via phone and via telehealth
  • Educate patients and their families on ongoing healthcare needs
  • Provide pre op and medication education to patients

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of current or recent medical-surgical, ambulatory, or oncology nursing experience
  • An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • An OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) or equivalent certification
