The successful candidate will need to be fluent in English and French. The role is to be based in our production site in Evreux (France).JOB PURPOSE:Reporting to the Head of Engineering – Respiratory and HIV Supply Chain, the role combines that of a manufacturing and packaging technical expert with that of a hands-on shop floor Operations Manager and a TPM / LEAN practitioner. You can expect to spend up to 100% of your time at site working on manufacturing and packaging area working with the Site Engineering and the operational team.This job is talent growth role to develop future senior engineering leader in RHIV organizationThe technical breadth of the role extends across maintenance standards and performance; equipment reliability and performance. However, the individual’s core accountability will be delivery of targeted Site manufacturing and packaging engineering performance to achieve site reliability, productivity and maintenance efficiency targets. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES :Deploy Operational excellence methods and programmes at manufacturing area level ensuring they deliver anticipated value in support of selected Site Productivity targets (including Value Driven Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, LEAN tools, Reliability Based Maintenance, Vertical Start Up etc.).Lead training and events to demonstrate methods and benefits, building capability through example.Embed self within site teams, remaining on site for extended periods, to identify improvement opportunities and drive sustainable performance improvement through site teams, delivering financial / productivity benefits.Once up and running, programme manage multiple sites through delivery of benefits.Ensure KPIs for Operational Engineering activities are in place / in use and effective in driving performance and improvement. Build mutually beneficial links / relationships with OEMs and service providers to enhance reliability, productivity and business benefits.Lead and use benchmarking internally and externally to identify best practice and improvement opportunities. Coach others to initiate Continuous Improvement programmes that challenge current manufacturing practice and drive performance.Play a lead role in development of central systems, standardising methodologies for efficient field deployment.Ensure cost effective and comprehensive maintenance plans are implemented for production equipment. This should include Preventative, Predictive and Reliability Centered Maintenance programs as well as life cycle management assessments.Develop and deploy the overall capability strategy for operational engineering in targeted sites. Demonstrate success through site performance improvement and enhanced site capabilities*LI-GSKWHY YOU ?Master’s degree (engineering) in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or Chemical- Basic technical expertise needed to do the job10 years post graduate experience in a high intensity, reliability focused manufacturing business (pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food industries, aeronautics, automotive) Experienced in delivery of shop floor operational efficiency and a deep experience in deployment of Lean, Total Productive Maintenance, continuous improvement or equivalent toolkits.Strong in leadership and driving for change, highly motivated to deliver assumed targetsStrong team player utilizing strength of the team members and supporting areas where neededExcellent technical expertise in machines and production lines in a regulated environment such as pharma / healthcare / food / cosmetics / aeronautics/ automotiveChange management skills and the ability to relate to effectively communicate to partners with all levels of the organization – operators, technicians, Front Line Leaders/ managers, GPS and other functional teams, senior site and above site personnelAnalytical, excellent at troubleshooting and problem solvingAdept at converting raw data to valuable insights and in determining the right toolset for a particular problem.
