We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in the Isle of Man who require a Locum Veterinary Surgeon to provide cover from as soon as possible until the end of March. This role focuses on small, large and equine patients but the practice can accept a vet with a single specialty. This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts from 8:30am to 6:30pm, along with weekends on a rota and 1 night shift per week. The practice can provide accommodation, a car and travel to and from the island. They see a variety of patients, including Manx cats, Loaghtan sheep with four horns, wild wallabies, Manx shearwaters, basking sharks, dolphins and seals.

• End date: End of March
• Hours: Full time, 4 days per week, shifts from 8:30am to 6:30pm, can be more flexible
• OOH: 1 night per week, inpatients covered by RVNs
• Sole charge: None
• Branch work: None
• Accommodation: Provided
• Car: Provided
• Duties: Consultations and surgeries
• Consultations: 15 minutes
• Team: 5 vets, 7 RVNs and a supportive non-clinical team
• Daily rate: 450 to 600 per day

RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be

• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
