IT Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

• Installation and configuration of computer hardware, operating systems and applications
• Monitoring and maintenance of computer systems and networks
• Troubleshooting system and network problems
• Provide 1st line support to employees or customers in compliance with agreed deadlines, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• Prioritization of open (pre-)cases
• Updating documentation and our records on policies and procedures and providing relevant reports to IT management
• Managing (email) users in enterprise systems – including resolving password issues
• Ensuring that all computer systems at your responsible location are secured
• Testing and evaluation of, as well as support for the introduction of new technologies

Your profile

• Expertise in virtualization software and virtual desktop technology (Citrix), as well as in a range of diagnostic programs
• Networking skills, including switches, routers and WIFI
• Experience working with desktop operating systems such as Windows OS, Linux and macOS
• Good basic understanding of operating systems, computer and server hardware, and SAN and networks
• Extensive experience in user support as well as in creating understandable and quickly graspable documentation
• Proficiency in written and spoken business English combined with good written and verbal communication skills
• Very good interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship building as well as empathy and ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Conceptual and pragmatic mindset
• Team player (m/f/d) with a customer-oriented and proactive approach to work
