HR Business Partner

We currently have the following opportunity available for a Human Resources Business Partner located in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Position Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner will effectively partner with US Division and Business Unit leaders to execute human resources strategies in direct support of annual business objectives. The successful candidate acts as an employee champion and change agent. This role is to support the Hutchinson, Kansas production facility.

Responsibilities

  • Implements HR strategy and guidelines within the assigned organization(s)
  • Aligns the regional HR activities with the business requirements
  • Collaborates with Human Resources Business Partners and Center of Expertise to execute projects and drive integration
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
  • Ensures that the assigned organization(s) benefits from overall HR corporate programs and services including but not limited to recruiting, talent development, performance management and shared services
  • Sets up and executes unit HR projects
  • Leads employee relations initiatives and investigations
  • Builds in structure and processes related to employee evaluations, merit, and succession planning
  • Assists employees to resolve issues and answer questions related to policies, HR initiatives, pay and benefits
  • Partners with supervisors and managers to create HR strategies that help move the business forward and address any issues
  • There could be up to 10% travel with this position
  • Relocation will not be offered for this role

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of human resources experience; including experience supporting factory employees in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, relationship building, multi-tasking, organizational, presentation, collaboration, follow-up, and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated experience establishing customer relationships and a track record of outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge working in HR platforms
  • Positive change maker with a strong ability to challenge the status quo
  • Experience managing or coordinating projects
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience

  • Prior experience working in a matrixed environment
  • SHRM Certificate Experience managing or coordinating projects
  • Experience working with Workday or similar HR Systems
