We, Quantum-Systems, are a young company that specializes in the development of vertical take-off aircraft drones. As an internationally active company with around 120+ employees, we design all relevant system groups such as the air­craft, autopilot, sensor integration and planning software in-house. To support our R&D Division, we are now looking for an

Your tasks

• Design, development and test of embedded Linux applications running on our drones (C++, Python)
• Implementation of communication with external hardware components (flight control system, camera systems, sensors)
• Development of applications like:
• high-level flight mission-planning, -execution, and –monitoring,
• predictive maintenance monitoring
• backend and frontend for maintenance user control interface
• automated live and post-flight log data analysis
• Implementation of communication with our ground control station and to cloud services via LTE/5G, WiFi and other data links

Your profile

• Where you come from: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in software development or software engineering
• Your experience: Experiences in writing modular applications on embedded systems with limited resources. Experience in interfacing of hardware with multiple communication protocols
• Your skills: Fluent C++ programming in Linux environment. Understanding of software architectures and software modularization. Deep insights of Linux (eg. posix, systemd services, networking, build toolchains)
