Li MA

Question:

Dear Eliane,
I worked in France until 02 Jun 2017 and then I left France on 06 Jun 2017 to New Zealand to continue my study. In this case, do I have to pay the income tax this year based on my income in France in 2017?
Thanks,
Li

Answer:

Daer Li Ma,

Yes, if you have earned income in France, you will have to file (even if you have not spent the whle year in France) and pay income tax in France (or not) according to the amount of income earned during that time.
