Spanish police have arrested six Chinese citizens in the country's biggest operation against audiovisual piracy so far, police said Wednesday.

MADRID - Spanish police have arrested six Chinese citizens in the country's biggest operation against audiovisual piracy so far, police said Wednesday.

The ring was capable of producing 80,000 pirate copies of CDs and DVDs and of earning EUR 240,000 daily.

Police discovered a clandestine production site and three warehouses in the Madrid region.

Police have carried out about 20 major operations against audiovisual piracy over the past five years.
