Service sector turnover rises

MADRID – Turnover in the Spanish services sector increased by 5.8 percent in November from the same month a year earlier, the National Statistics Institute (INE) said Tuesday.

The INE said there was growth in all segments of the sector, with the biggest increase posted by business-to-business services, where sales rose 9.1 percent, followed by tourism with 6.5 percent and information technology, where turnover was up 6.4 percent.

Employment in Spain’s biggest sector in November was up an annual 2.0 percent.
