MADRID-Spain, the world’s second leading tourism destination after France, received a record 53.6 million foreign tourists last year, an increase of 3.4 percent from 2003, the ministry of industry and tourism said.
The ministry issued a donward revision to 2003 tourist numbers to 51.82
million from a previously estimated 52.5 million.
