MADRID – Civil Guard officers arrested an officer from the National Police on Wednesday after he attempted to board a ferry in the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta with 91 kilos of cannabis resin in his car.
The drugs, which had apparently been smuggled into Ceuta from Morocco, were hidden inside a metal box in the trunk of the vehicle driven by the 62-year-old officer.
