Hello Almudena

My Wife and I are moving to Spain Valencia Region (Gandia/Ontinyent/Javea) in about April/May, and need a removal company to take our furniture and goods to a storage facility in this area and then, when we are settled, to deliver the furniture and goods from the storage place to our house.

My questions are:

- can you provide contact details of reputable and experienced companies, with insurance, able to pick up from just outside London and take to a storage location in the Valencia Region?
- provide details of storage facilities and costs in the Valencia Region with the capability to deliver the stored furniture and goods to our house?

Many thanks

Paul

Hi there,

We are moving from Ireland to Spain and will be moving our possessions ourselves by way of van on the ferry from Ireland to France and then continuing to drive down to Spain. My question is that we have a pet budgie (small bird) that we would like to bring with us and so can you let me know what, if any, documentation we would need to provide for him? Thank you

Hello, I was born in Madrid but I live in Lebanon. I am 25 years old and I want to move to Spain. How can I proceed with this? A friend of mine, who lives in Barcelona, has offered me the chance to rent a house with her. She has residency there. Can I travel to Spain if I take the following papers with me(?): Birth certificate (Spanish), A Letter from the notary of Madrid.
What do you advise I do? Thanks, Emilio

Hello, My family is thinking about moving to Spain for 1-2 years. We are all US citizens, however, my husband & 3 children all hold British passports. I know I will need a long term residence visa to stay with my family. Would you know what that process is like or how long it would take?
Thank you

Hi,
I am a British Citizen with an EU Passport, living in Australia, I have lived here for the last 27 years. I will be retiring in the next 18 months. My wife (British Citizen, EU Passport) and myself would like to retire and live in Spain. What do I need to do i.e. do I need to return to the UK first, also what steps do I need to take?
Thanks and Regards,
Bob

Hi Almudena,

Hi !

I am a USA citizen and will be traveling to Spain in October to take a CELTA (TEFL) course, and I hope to stay in Spain for at least a year working. I do not have a work visa or student visa - and will be traveling with a 90 day tourist visa.

1. Can I get a visa extension (work or student visa) while I am abroad in Madrid?

2. I was traveling in Eastern Europe for 1 month in September (Poland, Czech, Ukraine, Hungary)? Would these trips reduce the time on my 90 day visa?

Hello,

I have been living in Madrid for the past 2 years and just found out that I must move back to the U.S. in just 2 short weeks! I have accumulated a lot of furniture and other household items and would like to know how to best go about selling them. I've already started posting ads on websites such as loquo.com and segundomano.com, but would appreciate some place where I can just take and sell everything! Does such a place exist? Other ideas or options?

Thank you in advance!

Best,
Jackie

I hope you can offer advice. My husband and I together with a 10 month old baby are looking to relocate to Spain. Should we first look for work (more about that later), or decide first on prefered city and then look for work in that city? If you could advice on best cities for lifestlye for young couple with baby that offers good job prospects it would be great.
Husband is native Spanish speaker (MEX) in sales, I have little spanish and in Marketing/PR/Social Media. Plan on also doing TEFL too.

Hola! I'm an EU citizen married to an American, we currently reside in the USA. We want to live in Spain (I've never lived in Spain before) and I'm struggling to find out whether it's better to start his procedure here at the Consulate or if we should just go to Spain and start there? It's really difficult to get to talk to someone at the Consulate here in the USA. That's why I hope to find answers on this site, thank you for your time!!

I am from the UK but have lived in Cyprus for the last 16 months. I am now moving to Spain with my partner for a year. As I have rgistered m,y UK car in Cyprus, would it be worthwhile to bring it to Spain? It appears to be problematic and also costly for all the changes plus it seems that there would be a proble,to insure it. We will only be renting in the short term. Do you think I should sell it in Cyprus. Is it easier if my partner brings his UK car over? Thanks.
