How you can get involved

Our Strategic Business Segment (SBS) Consumer is responsible for the B2C brand portfolio and thus for a large proportion of our global sales. As one of the leading international companies in the field of drinking water optimization, we offer our customers a broad range of product and service solutions. A key success factor of our global role within BRITA is the close interaction and collaboration with our local marketing and sales teams.

SBS Consumer is jointly managed by the three functions Strategic Marketing, Strategic Sales and Strategic Engineering to ensure product success and result orientation. Within the Strategic Marketing Consumer (SMC) function, the advertised role is part of the Classic Filtration team. This team is responsible for the product portfolio of non-connected consumer products and thus the product portfolio of the BRITA Group with the highest sales.

In your role as Senior Innovation Manager, you will work with your team to identify growth areas in the non-connected product segment (Carrier and Filter Solutions), develop an innovation strategy clearly derived from consumer needs and develop this through to the implementation phase of a product roadmap. In this way, you will shape the future of BRITA core business, make a significant contribution to ensuring the long-term growth as well as supporting BRITA ́s brand transformation towards a sustainable lifestyle brand. Through your leadership, you will develop the entire Classic Filtration team towards a stronger digital focus, implement an innovation process, establish customer centricity, ensure internationality, challenge team members and get them out of their comfort zone.

In specific, the tasks can be summarized as follows:

  • By observing and analyzing market, trend and competitive developments you will identify and prioritize relevant growth areas and create a robust innovation strategy.
  • Together with Strategic Engineering and Group Technology & Quality (GTQ), you will develop and implement a strong 5 year innovation roadmap in the non-connected Consumer segment.
  • You will develop and establish an efficient, data and insight driven innovation process.
  • Furthermore, you identify international strategic partnerships, especially with the objective to accelerate time to market.
  • In your leadership role, you establish the new Base Innovation Team, meet budget targets and ensure the achievement of business/profit goals.

You will be well-equipped for the role if you can demonstrate the following

  • Successfully completed track record and several to many years of marketing or product management experience in an international branded goods company, ideally with a focus on FMCG, combined with a good commercial understanding
  • Relevant experience with innovation processes, innovation pipeline management and project and go to market strategies
  • Digital savvy, enjoy working with market research data, shopper KPIs and a passion for data driven decisions
  • Strong market and end-customer orientation coupled with a pronounced strength in stakeholder management as well as networking and furthermore assertiveness and sound judgment at all levels
  • Winning leadership personality who acts as a role model, develops teams and convinces through high social, intercultural competence
  • Strategic, analytical and structured way of thinking and at the same time creative “challenger”, questioning the status-quo and breaking new ground
  • Strong sense of responsibility coupled with a “hands on” and “can-do” mentality
  • Communication skills in English at all levels combined with an international background
