What you will be doing

  • Drawing up, implementing, and monitoring compliance with procedures and standards in order to achieve the set targets and objectives
  • Drawing up, implementing, and monitoring of the annual operational plan for Quality (including staffing requirements and budget)
  • Monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of quality-related processes within Supply Chain to make sure the identified operational Key Result Indicators are achieved
  • Participates in the Product Maintenance Team’s meetings, prioritizing follow through of defined activities across supply chain operations
  • Assures that resources are timely allocated to root-cause and resolve issues brought up by internal and external customers
  • Initiation of corrective and preventative measures whenever necessary, resolve issues and assure that feedback loop and lesson learned are transferred accordingly to stakeholders
  • Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving productivity, the product quality, and the supply performance, whereby uniform methods and operational standards are applied
  • Making sure there is a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly working environment for the employees of Quality
  • Allocation of resources within Quality with a view to the optimal execution of the processes, whereby consideration is given to the availability of: employees, materials, skills, budget, and the quality and delivery date requirements
  • Initiation of internal audits to verify whether or not the quality system satisfies the set requirements, the analysis and interpretation of the results of such, the making of recommendations for improvement and prevention, and the monitoring of the implementation of these recommendations
  • Qualifying employees for the performance of internal audits
  • organizing quality audits at international suppliers, the registration of audits assessments on the list of qualified suppliers, and the distribution and management of this list
  • Assessment of measurement and analysis reports, and the validation of measurements in the event of any doubt or uncertainty
  • organizing the testing and inspection of any products that are returned, and handling any complaints associated with such
  • Operational responsibility for the Quality Measurement Room
  • Communicating and promoting the chosen policy based on the content and the method of daily operational management: explaining the policy to the employees, teams and other stakeholders and gaining their support for such, and acting as an ambassador for the vision
  • Development of a vision resulting in a strategy for the organization and direction of your own team in line with collectively-defined procedures
  • Creating a focus, formulating realistic targets, the management of expectations, and the implementation of consequences
  • Contributing input to the Director Manufacturing, and then implementing initiatives in relation to the quality policy arising out of the medium-term strategy of the company;
  • Preparing and making recommendations to the management about the quality policy to be set by the management for the company;
  • Making recommendations regarding quality aspects to the Supply Chain, Production Management and Procurement
  • Manages local Quality activities and employees, allocates tasks and makes sure agreements are fulfilled, monitors progress, develops and motivates and sets a good example by complying to rules, values and standards
  • Carries out Human Resources activities within the own area of responsibility, including the selection of employees, provides them with feedback, holds performance assessment interviews and performance evaluation interviews

Skills & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of products, processes, and logistical concepts in a technical production environment
  • Familiarity with logistical concepts (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, etc.)
  • Masters RCA methods
  • Extensive experience in a management position
  • Knowledge of logistical, production, and assembly processes
  • Safety Qualification (VCA VOL or comparable)
  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfort with working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
