I'm a UK citizen, currently living in South Korea. Next year I will move to Berlin to improve my language skills (I currently speak German B2 level) and look for employment. My girlfriend is a South Korean citizen and an artist. I was wondering if she would be able to apply for a Kuenstler visa? Unable to find much info about this type of visa; what I find is hearsay. My girlfriend does not speak German but will be starting to learn soon. She is not eligible for the Working Holiday visa that Korea and Germany recently agreed. We have considered a Student visa. She is thinking of attending University (in DE) to obtain a MA in the future and so we've considered the 2 year student visa to prepare her for study. She has an online Graphic Web Design business; if she had this visa, would she be allowed to continue her business (which is registered in Korea) to work for overseas (non-EU clients) who would remit any payment to her accounts in Korea?
